Creating the enabling environment for disabled people to participate as equal members of society

Publicado em 24/09/2013
The Dorothy Springer Trust (DST), operating in Sierra Leone, aims to transform the lives of disabled people in Sierra Leone by preparing them for skilled employment through the provision of training scholarships in Information, Communication Technology (ICT). The premise of the DST ICT model is to 'train and place PWDs into IT jobs', thereby transforming their lives by becoming independent and able to contribute to national development through the payment of taxes. The project is strongly focused on inclusion and equality, whether it is in education, employment or social status.
